There is a new place to do karaoke: Casanova karaoke rooms at Bishop Arts, which opens December 10.

It is the “sing-easy” of Casablanca, the bar of Exxir Hospitality (Paradiso, Botanist, Tejas) at 200 N. Bishop Ave. # 113 which opened in October.

According to a statement, Casanova Karaoke Lounges – which for some reason is plural, probably because there is more than one room but that would be really better because Casanova Karaoke Lounge, singular – offers private rooms with multiple microphones, adjustable voices and lighting to prepare the ground.

An app-based song library contains current hits and classics, as well as a wide selection of Spanish favorites.

Guests can order full-size food and beverage service from the Casablanca menu, including rum tea service by Beverage Manager Iluggy Recinos and a Silk Road inspired menu by Chef Nick Hurry , with frozen piña coladas, Balinese chicken popcorn and cardamom lamb skewers.

In a statement, CEO Michael Nazerian calls Casablanca “a place to get away from it all and celebrate everyday moments with your friends.” He also says it will provide the opportunity to mingle with “Dallas’ most diverse and interesting crowd,” which is a bold statement.

The decor draws detail and inspiration from Moorish design, Moroccan motif, and Balinese island influences. An outdoor patio has Tulum-inspired landscaping, with custom concrete tiles, terracotta pottery, wool rugs, raffia pendants, and intricately carved woodwork.

And now there is karaoke.

Reservations can be made at CasablancaDTX.com from December 8.
