2. Quik Trip | Calera
A DFW and Atlanta favorite, QuikTrip, is opening its second Alabama location on I-65 at exit 231 near Calera. QuikTrip is known for its variety and cleanliness.
The great part about this specific location is that it is specially designed for high traffic areas. This means 20 pumps, 6 diesel bays and access to fresh food in the market. 3. The Goose | Avondale
There’s a new bar in town, just in time to sip on the summer terrace. Meet the goose. Located in the former Spring Street space, The Goose is a sports-focused bar that combines their love for good food, good drink and outdoor fun. With plenty of outdoor seating, cornhole games and TVs, this will be a perfect place for an after work drink OR a weekend beer.
4. Buck Creek Bed and Breakfast | Helen
Helena hosts Buck Creek Bed and Breakfast in the area. Led by Jordan Hosey, Alabama’s youngest real estate developer, this property brings a lot to the table. As a multi-unit short term rental community. Buck Creek will be the perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind. 5. Fitness for the Heights | house wood
We take “reaching the heights” to a new level. The Heights Fitness by Vestavia is opening a brand NEW location in downtown Homewood, and we’re excited to host this strength-based boot camp. The Heights focuses on group and personal training for women using cardio equipment, machines, weights, and core training.
In addition to fitness, they also offer nutrition coaching through weekly checkups, digital food journals, and personal nutrition coaches. They plan to open the second week of July, so if you haven’t found a home gym, now is the time.
