Massachusetts State Lottery winner: $100,000 winning ticket sold at Dracut Sports Bar on Wednesday, $50,000 cash prize sold in Pittsfield

A Massachusetts sports bar patron defied the odds and won the championship on Wednesday after purchasing or claiming a $100,000 winning ticket.

The ticket, a cash prize of $100,000, was for the Massachusetts Millionaires’ Club game, the ticket was purchased at The Sports Zone restaurant in Dracut.

Another winning ticket, a $50,000 cash prize for the $50,000 Star Cashword game, was also won or claimed Wednesday at the Elms Street Convenience store in Pittsfield.

Overall, just over 500 lottery tickets worth at least $600 were claimed or sold on Wednesday, including 28 sold in Worcester and 11 sold in Springfield.

On Tuesday, two big lottery prizes were won or claimed in Massachusetts, including a $1 million winning ticket.

The first ticket was for the $1,000,000 Winter Winnings game and it was purchased at a Big Y Express gas station in Wilbraham. The buyer has chosen to win the cash prize of $650,000 before taxes.

The other ticket, a $100,000 cash prize for the $100,000 Money Multiplier game, was sold at Mr. Mike’s Restaurant & Lounge in Haverhill.

The biggest lottery prize won in Massachusetts so far this year was a $10 million prize. Leominster’s Araceli Alba Peredes bought the winning ticket at Leominster Market in February.
