Witnesses wanted after altercation at Bridge Bar Beckenham

At around 11.45pm on June 4, a patron was “ejected” from the Bridge Bar in Beckenham High Street and became aggressive.

Police attended the scene and a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of uttering death threats.

He was taken to a south London police station.

As the allegations were not substantiated, the man was released without further action.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward and urging anyone with information to contact police quoting reference number CAD 008306/04JUN22.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 11.48pm on June 4 to a report of an altercation at a nightclub in High Street, Beckenham.

“The police intervened.

“At the scene, a client had been kicked out of the room and had become aggressive.

“A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of uttering death threats.

“He was taken to a south London police station.

“Due to the unsubstantiated allegations, the man was released without further action.”

Bromley Police tweeted: “Police are appealing for witnesses for an incident at the Bridge Bar in Beckenham on 04/06/2022 at approximately 11.45pm.

“Please contact the police and quote CAD reference number 008306/04JUN22.”
