Vice Ganda couldn’t help but be moved when he recalled his days as a stand-up comedian after visiting a comedy bar.

The comedian-TV host opened up about his experience that made him look back on his humble beginnings, according to his Twitter page today, May 22.

“I went to a comedy bar [tonight]. I saw some familiar faces,” he said. “I got emotional watching them on stage. Seen [myself]. My beginnings. My heart was happy.

Vice Ganda then expressed his gratitude for everything he now has while expressing his appreciation to those who were once like him.

“I couldn’t help but say THANK YOU LORD over and over in my head,” he added. “To all the artists and staff at the comedy bar, you will always be special!”

Meanwhile, the comedian earlier handed out 5,000 pesos each to more than 100 “It’s Showtime” staff and crew, and 10,000 pesos each to five chosen viewers. The comedian said the gesture was an early Christmas present as he was in a good mood.

Apart from that, Vice Ganda also recently treated two strangers for a shopping spree, as well as paid for drugs for random people at a pharmacy. J.B.
