Monday, October 24

De-stress with dogs | parade ground

Sigma Alpha is hosting an event on the parade ground from 1-3 p.m. Students can relax from all their school and life worries while playing with furry friends. This event is also a fundraiser for Companion Animal Alliance.

Tuesday, October 25

Bike lifting | LSU-UREC

LSU UREC hosts an event where students can ride bikes on the Baton Rouge Seawall. The website says bikes and helmets are included. Other supplies, such as water bottles, will need to be provided by the student. You can register on the UREC website. This event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. and will start at UREC.

Wednesday October 26

Haunted Open House | Student Health Center

LSU’s Student Health Center is hosting a spooky open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Among other activities, students will be able to benefit from free health and well-being check-ups. The website says there will be free sliders and ice cream, as well as a costume contest.

Canvases in the yard | Art and Design Court

The student government is hosting an arts and crafts event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Arts and Design Courtyard on the LSU campus. It will be a time for students to relax, paint and mingle with friends.

Thursday, October 27

Study Abroad Interest Meeting | Hatchery room

If you are an LSU student wondering what your study abroad options are, this event is for you. It will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. at Hatcher Hall.

Great Baton Rouge State Fair | Lamar Dixon Exhibition Center

Thursday, October 27 marks the start of the Great Baton Rouge State Fair. Here’s a fun time to spend with friends while feeling all the nostalgia of childhood. This event takes place at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9309 S. St. Landry Ave. in Gonzales. The state fair runs continuously through November 6. Don’t forget your cash at home as there is an entry fee for this event, $5 on weekdays and $10 on weekends.

Friday, October 28

Emo Party | Chelsea Live

Chelseas Live is hosting an Emo Night with a costume contest and a performance by the band Paris Avenue. Doors open at 8 p.m. at Chelsea’s Live, 1010 Nicholson Dr. Admission is $10.

Saturday October 29

Annual Halloween Bar Crawl in Baton Rouge | The pool music room

The Halloween pub crawl begins at Basin Music Hall, 336 Third St., Baton Rouge. Events last from 4 p.m. to midnight. You must purchase a ticket from the Crawl With Us site. Prices range from $10 to $25. To top it off, there’s a costume contest and the winner can win $1,000.

Sunday October 30

Trick or Treat in Row | West Lakeshore Drive

This is an annual event hosted by the LSU Panhellenic Council. It’s from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event takes place on West Lakeshore Drive, and all sororities participate.
