The What A Shot upscale sports bar and grill is now open

The indoor sports and leisure venue, What A Goal in Thurmaston, is now fully open, including its brand new premium sports bar and grill, What A Shot.

Comprising two indoor 3G synthetic turf football pitches, All-Weather Action Indoor Cricket, All Star Fitness and Rascal Ranch, Leicester’s newest and most talked about gaming venue, What A Goal offers a complete entertainment solution by all the time.

The final piece of the site to be completed is What A Shot, their brand new upscale sports bar and grill, which offers all-day dining, premium drinks and cocktails. All of this is set in a high quality environment for viewing a wide range of sports, multiple throwing positions and luxury private rental space in their Director’s Lounge. Their Indian fusion menu is complemented by a daytime cafe offering breakfast and lunch options, as well as The Gym Kitchen with macro-balanced meals, all served at a higher level. With a brigade of hand-picked chefs from around the world, What A Shot will provide a sports dining experience unrivaled anywhere else in Leicestershire.

Menu highlights include What Goal Bao Buns (smoked chicken tikka, paneer tikka or sheikh kebab with tandoori mayo, coriander pepper and mint chutney in a steamed bao bun), Spilled green sea bass (sea bass marinated in homemade green spices, potatoes with cumin, coconut lime sauce and chilli oil) and black daal (black lentils simmered and smoked for 24 hours, cream and butter emulsion, ginger, coriander and fenugreek powder to finish). Full menus can be downloaded from www.whatagoal.co.uk/whatashot.

With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the indoor football and cricket facilities, What A Shot also offers the perfect party venue, with birthday and corporate packages available to book now. The venue’s impressive 6 x 2 meter LED wall is a standout feature, along with HD screens showing live sporting events from all angles. Book a table for upcoming meetings and events and watch the screens of every table in the house. What A shot will show fixtures on all Sky Sports and BT Sport channels, as well as special events for Pay Per View events.

For those with young children, Rascal Ranch is already proving to be a big hit with its soft and exciting play facilities including a volcanic slide, ball pits, mini trampolines and more. There is also a separate on-site cafe located in Rascal Ranch to complement its offering as a relaxed family destination.

What A Goal has already hosted a number of successful football and cricket tournaments, with spaces available to hire for one-off hourly bookings or with a discount on group bookings. They also offer arrival and play sessions for children during the summer holidays. Visit every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-11am and 11pm-12pm during the summer holidays for just £5.50 per child, with a choice of football or cricket (or both!).

For those looking to keep active, All Star Fitness membership is priced at £29.99 per month, with other membership or day pass options available. Members will be able to explore their fully-equipped, state-of-the-art studio, complete with top-of-the-line strength and conditioning equipment, a specialized course curriculum, and expert training guidance.

After the launch, What A Goal will organize a Open Doors Gala on Saturday August 13.
