Plymouth Hoe’s Tinside Lido transformed into a Mediterranean cocktail bar

Tonight’s ‘Live at the Lido’ event is the first of many summer parties at the venue

Tinside Lido’s sun terrace is being set up ahead of tonight’s ‘Live at the Lido’ event and is being transformed into a Mediterranean cocktail bar. This is the first of four events organized this summer.

For four weekends during the summer, the Lido’s sunny terrace turns into an outdoor bar/restaurant hosting DJs from all over the world. Using Plymouth Sound as a backdrop, the team intends to recreate the atmosphere normally found on a Mediterranean holiday; offering great food, mind-blowing cocktails and world-class music from international DJs.

Live at the Lido and DancerHip will host international superstar DJ Todd Terry from the USA tonight at the first event. The true dance music pioneer is visiting Plymouth for the very first time and couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to perform.

Events begin tonight with DJ Todd Terry and will continue all summer with Tropical Disco on July 23, Hed Kandi on July 30 and Café Mambo on August 28. The four events promise to be something truly special and hope to reignite the party spirit of Tinside Lido, the true jewel in Plymouth Hoe’s crown.

Today Tiniside Lido has set up for the event where you can see a huge gazebo, seats next to the sea and a giant pineapple. The idyllic idea of being able to sit by the ocean watching the sun go down, drinking a delicious cocktail, while letting yourself be caressed by the soothing sounds of an international DJ has always been reserved for bars and restaurants. overlooking the Mediterranean. But it’s about to become a reality in Plymouth.
