Are you ready to show off your spelling skills in a drunken spelling battle? GhostLight Lounge in Owensboro brings together two of our favorite things. Beer and spelling! Yes, you heard right. It’s a fun new excuse to drink.

Strengthen your spelling skills to prove that you are still a spelling champion. When I saw this pop-up on social media, it made me laugh out loud! I’ve been known to tip a few times in my day, but I’m not 100% sure I could spell beer at those times. Just kidding, but it sure looks like a fun time.
GhostLight Lounge at the RiverPark Center
The GhostLight Lounge is a trendy bar attached to the RiverPark Center in Owensboro. Not your typical nightclub experience. It’s your new favorite place to sing karaoke with family and friends. It’s a great way to have fun with people you know and love. It’s attached to the Atmos courtyard at the RiverPark Center, across from the parking lot. There’s no denying that downtown Owensboro has a great selection of restaurants and bars to try, but GhostLight Lounge is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
Drunk Spelling Bee at GhostLight Show
Can you spell better when you’re slightly drunk? Then this boozy battle is for you! Register below to compete or come cheer on your friends. On Friday, May 27, 2022, plan to have fun at the second annual Drunk Spelling Bee contest. Layson Brooks will host the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the Spelling Bee starts at 9 p.m. This will certainly not be the spelling bee of your childhood! The winner will receive a one month membership to the Owensboro YMCA.
The sweet sounds of Madeline Wilkerson will perform in the courtyard starting at 6 p.m.

Get ready to impress the crowd with your spelling skills!
Participants, please complete this registration form. Must be 21 or older to register (bring ID). Admission is $10, which covers the cost of beverages provided during play. Please contact Alex Jorn at [email protected] with any questions or concerns. If you don’t drink, they have non-alcoholic options as substitutes.
The spelling bee begins at 9 p.m., participants must arrive by 8:30 a.m. to register. There is no registration fee to attend as a member of the public.

GhostLight Lounge Location
GhostLight Lounge is located at 101 Daviess Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, right next to the RiverPark Center. All contributors must be at least 21 years old and show proper identification to participate.
