New bowling alley and sports bar at Roxy Lanes in Bristol reveals opening date and prices

A new bowling alley and sports bar opening on Union Street has announced details of its long-awaited launch date. Roxy Lanes, which offers a range of activities such as tenpin bowling, beer pong, pool tables and iceless curling, opens in the former Fitness4Less gymnasium on Union Street on Friday, May 27.

The gym closed at the start of the pandemic and closures in March 2020 and never reopened. It will be the first Roxy Lanes to open in Bristol after successful launches across the UK.

The Union Street venue will have a capacity of 350, as well as the brand’s largest entertainment range in the UK. Accompanied by eight full-size bowling alleys, batting cages, shuffleboard, karaoke booths, full-size pool tables, beer pong, arcade games and ice-free curling, Union Street will be a destination all day and all night.

Bristol is Roxy Leisure Group’s 11th site following successful launches in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Liverpool and Leeds. The new opening of Roxy Lanes in Bristol will create 45 jobs.

Roxy Leisure Commercial Director, Joel Mitchell, said: “Bristol is an exciting and vibrant city, full of fun-loving, creative individuals. We’ve wanted to join the buzzing nightlife here for a while; we are excited to bring our concept of competitive gaming to a new audience.

Prices for activities at Roxy Lanes in Union Street are based on peak or off-peak times. Tenpin bowling costs £8 per person per game off peak or £10 at peak times.

Karaoke rooms will cost £24 (off-peak) or £30 (peak) for up to 20 people per hour. The American pool costs £12 or £15 per table per hour depending on whether it is peak or off-peak. For more information and to book, go to here.
