Havaianas creates pop-up Brazilian beach bar via Monster Children Creative

Havaianas created a pop-up Brazilian snack bar in Manly for sponsorship of its World Surf League, created by Monster Children Creative.

The announcement:

Havaianas is bringing an authentic slice of Rio De Janeiro to Manly Beach for next week, as part of the brand’s sponsorship of the World Surf League.

Havaianas Clube de Praia will be located directly on the sand for the duration of the Sydney Surf Pro, serving authentic Brazilian beach snacks, complimentary coffee, acai bowls and frozen coconuts throughout the day .

The striking custom structure was designed and built by Monster Children Creative. It features hand-painted panels by Nathan Pickering, vintage beach furniture, an all-day Brazilian disco, and is surrounded by 4-meter-tall foxtail palms.

“Developed from our creative ‘How We Beach’ platform, Havaianas Beach Club in Manly is the perfect representation of Brazilian beach culture,” said Nicola Jones, Marketing Manager of Aqueo Imports. “The Monster Children team has made an almost perfect replica of what you would see on the foreshore of Rio’s beaches.”

Matt Pike, Creative Director at MC Creative, said: “We really wanted to create an experience that would transport audiences to Ipanema or Copacabana. This is by far the best place in Manly this week to catch the surf event, people watch and relax in the sun.
