COVID outbreak causes Clarence Clemons Day Wonder Bar show to be postponed

It’s not business as usual for the Jersey music scene.

The Clarence Clemons Day celebration scheduled for Friday January 7 at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park has been postponed to Friday February 11, as the rise in COVID-19 cases continues.

On the show, Jarod Clemons, Clemons’ youngest son, will perform his father’s music which he composed as a frontman and with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Big Man’s birthday on January 11 is Clarence Clemons Day in New Jersey. He died of a stroke on June 18, 2011. He was 69 years old.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored and refunds are available until February 4.

Also at the Wonder Bar, the Almost U2 show, scheduled for Saturday January 8 at the site, has been postponed to Friday March 25. Previously purchased tickets will be honored and refunds are available at the point of purchase until February 2. 3. Visit wonderbarasburypark.com for more information.

Elsewhere, the Free the Witness and Vendetta Rose show scheduled for Friday, January 7 at Stone Pony in Asbury Park will take place at a later date due to “COVID-related security concerns.” Tickets will be honored on the new date or can be returned to the point of purchase.
