BAR & RESTAURANT EXPO 2022 CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING SUCCESS OF 36TH ANNUAL LAS VEGAS SHOWCASE

Bar and Restaurant Fairthe nation’s largest and most influential gathering of bar and restaurant owners and operators has returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center March 21-23. Formerly known as Nightclub & Bar Show, 36and the annual showcase celebrated another immensely successful year, increasing attendance from well finished 10,000 attendees. The three-day expo featured an impressive total of 350 exhibitors and more than 80 conference sessions with industry professionals, as well as an interactive food court, sports bar, food innovation center and beverages, a variety of educational workshops, bootcamps, product launches, keynotes and more.

The transition to Bar & Restaurant Expo in 2022 included many significant changes to the showcase, including interactive booths, product experiences with real-time operator feedback, and an overall immersive environment. Brand evolution aligns with rapidly changing hospitality industry and expands breadth and depth of expo audience to include food shoppers, food and beverage executives , food distributors, chefs, and other key food service stakeholders. sector.

The expo was officially opened to attendees with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by retired NASCAR driver and co-founder of City Lights Shine, Brendan Gaughan and vice-president of the bar and catering group Tim McLucas. Gaughan and McLucas walked the star-studded red carpet which also preceded the opening of the exhibition where many of the industry’s most influential names entered the exhibition in style, including members of the BRE Executive Board Mia Mastroianni and David Kaplan; celebrity chef Brian Duffy; Food innovation Chefs Jennifer Behm Lazzarni, Kayla Robison, Chad Rosenthal, Kevin Des Chenes; Co-founder of The Spirits in Motion, Phil Wills; Founder and visionary of the brand strategy firm FIG TaChelle Lawson; Mixologist and owner of Japp’s Bar Molly Wellman; Co-founder of Invictus Hospitality Michael Tipps; Chief Adrian Lipscombe the Uptown Cafe & Bakery; and Dennis McKinley Detroit stocks.

On the red carpet, Tim McLucas presented a $5,000 check made out to Bar & Restaurant Expo to the Official Charity Partner of the Year, Children of Restaurant Employees, or HEART, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing relief to people affected by disasters around the world. Bar & Restaurant Expo also generously donated a significant amount of food that was not used at this year’s expo to Nevada’s largest food bank, three squares.

Bar & Restaurant Expo crowned an exceptional year with the Industry Excellence Awards 2022 ceremony. These awards, presented by the sponsor of the expo Sunday, were designed to recognize, celebrate and support the people who make the independent bar and restaurant industry famous. The prestigious awards, including categories such as Community Leadership, Innovator of the Year, Most Original Concept and more, were presented by Mia Mastroianni and Molly Wellman.
