Have you noticed everything that’s going on right now? It’s hard to keep track of all the events, so for help in my particular area of expertise, I’ve compiled a by no means exhaustive list of fun cocktail-related events on the horizon.

Saturday: The Stroudwater Distillery offers a Fall Brewing Workshop at 6 p.m. for $20. The ticket includes a guided tasting of all Stroudwater spirits, but bottles are sold separately so you can infuse them with your choice of herbs, spices and/or fruit. Follow one of the distillery’s recipes or create your own signature blend. For tickets, go to eventbrite.com.

WednesdayOctober 26: Three of Strong Spirits is offering a Zombie class at 5:30 p.m. for $40.95. To be clear, this is a lesson in how to make a zombie cocktail, not a lesson in how to become a real zombie. The ticket includes tastes of individual spirits, a full-size cocktail, a bowl of popcorn, and the instructions themselves. Bowl of brains not included. For tickets, more information, and the full schedule of Distillery events, go to threeofstrongspirits.com/happenings.

WednesdayOctober 26: Luna Rooftop Bar at the Canopy Portland Waterfront Hotel is teaming up with Lady in the Moon for a Witchy Wednesday tarot card reading from 5-8 p.m. Registrations are first come, first served. While you’re there, you can check out the new fall cocktail menu, as well as the Lady in the Moon retail wall takeover in the lobby. Find more information about Luna Rooftop Bar on Facebook.

October 28: The annual Meet Your Maker event as part of Harvest on the Harbor will take place at O’Maine Studios at 6 p.m., but tickets must be purchased in advance. The $67.95 ticket includes tastings of cocktails made with local spirits by members of the Maine Distillers Guild, plus wine pairings from Pemberton’s Gourmet Foods (based in Gray), beer from Shipyard and live music by the Hadacol Bouncers, who specialize in a hybrid of New Orleans Jazz, Chicago Jazz, original songs and other classics. Buy your tickets at harvestontheharbor.com.

November 4: On the first Friday of each month, the Stroudwater Distillery hosts a salsa night. The $20 ticket gets you an hour of class from 7-8 p.m., followed by a Latin dance party from 8-11 p.m. For more information about the distillery, go to stroudwaterdistillery.com.

November 12: Earth at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport is offering a mixology class at 2 p.m. for $75 as part of Kennbunkport Hotel Week. The ticket price includes instructions on how to make classic cocktails, plus four cocktail tastings. For tickets and more information on this and other events happening on Earth, go to earthathiddenpond.com/specials.

November 18: Batson River Holiday Camp returns, with 38 days of spirited fun at the restaurants, breweries and distilleries of Kennebunk, Portland, Wells and, soon, Biddeford. There will be happy cocktail parties, nostalgic movie nights, games, live entertainment and more, to top it all off with a New Year’s Eve party and New Year’s brunch. And if that’s not enough for you, at the mid-January, its winter camp returns, with a winter wonderland ski lodge theme and an ode to winter sports. Signature cocktails will of course be included. For more information on Batson locations and hours of operation, visit batsonriver.com.

Retired diplomat Angie Bryan writes about Maine’s cocktail bars while doing as many puns as her editor allows.
