An office-themed charity bar crawl is planned

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – Several bars in downtown Willoughby will host a charity pub crawl themed “The Office” on Saturday, October 22.

The crawl – themed around the famous sitcom – is scheduled from noon to 4pm at bars and restaurants in Willoughby town centre, with around 30 minutes set aside at each location before the teams move on.

Most of the participating bars are on Erie Street:

• The Wild Goose, 4144 Erie Street.

• Nora’s Public House, 4054 Erie St.

• Sage Karma Kitchen, 4051 Erie Street.

• The Yard at 3, 38040 3rd St.

• Barrio Tacos, 4061 Erie Street.

• Mullarkey’s Irish Pub, 4110 Erie St.

• Pub 1899, 38228 Glenn Avenue.

• Frank & Tony’s Pub, 38107 2nd St.

• Westel’s, 4084 Erie Street.

Each location will offer themed drink specials. In addition, “The Office” quizzes, karaoke, Beer Olympics, Dundie Prizes and other activities are on the agenda.

Crawlers are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from the show, and entrants can enter under one of the following names:

• Team Michael

• Team Dwight

• Team Credo

• Team Oscar

• Pam Team

• Team Jim

• Team Kevin

• Stanley Team

• Team Kelly

All ticket proceeds benefit Chapter A Special Wish Foundation Northeast Ohio. The charity grants wishes to children up to the age of 20 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Tickets are $40 through eventbrite.com and include a commemorative sweatshirt, “Scott’s Tots” hat and passport to explore.

The show, which ran from 2005 to 2013, centered on office life at a Pennsylvania paper mill with a dysfunctional boss and his gang of eccentric employees.
