Abandoned fish recovered and cared for at Towyn Sports Bar

A FISH who was left abandoned in his tank in Towyn was picked up and cared for by a sports bar in the town before a resident later offered to take him home.

Lucy Grocott and her friend Lilly, who both work at Cues Sports and Entertainment Bar, rushed to help the fish after noticing on the ‘Towyn Talk’ Facebook group that it had been left on the corner of Bryn Road.

Lucy and Lilly helped clean out the tank of “Cued” before a bar patron took him home.

Lucy said: ‘We were just at Cues having a drink on Sunday (May 17), and my friend Lilly saw on Towyn Talk that he had been dumped.

“So we ran to get him, took him back to the pub and cleaned him up, as his tank looked a little dirty.

“For the rest of the night he sat by the bar to catch the attention of anyone who entered the pub.

“He stayed there for the rest of the night and then one of the locals who came to the pub very kindly took him home.

“He currently lives in Towyn and is well cared for. We named it ‘Cued’!
